IPHE Project Recognition Program
The International Partnership for the Hydrogen
Economy (IPHE) is pleased to announce that
nominations are now being accepted for
international research, development,
demonstration, deployment and policy &
education projects related to hydrogen and
fuel cell technologies to be considered for
official recognition by the IPHE in 2008.
The IPHE seeks to recognize leading and
innovative international hydrogen and fuel
cell projects that can accelerate the
cost-effective transition to a global hydrogen
economy to enhance energy security and
environmental protection. Over the past three
years, thirty outstanding pre-competitive
research projects were selected for IPHE
recognition.
Please click here for information on the
thirty recognized projects.
A brochure is currently being developed that
will contain information on all 30 recognized
projects.
Approaching the halfway point of its initial
mandate; IPHE has redefined its priorities and
is seeking projects that reflect these
priorities. IPHE will continue to recognize
RD&D projects but would also like to recognize
deployment, policy and education projects.
The IPHE’s four priorities are:
1. Accelerating the market penetration
and early adoption of hydrogen and fuel cell
technologies and its supporting
infrastructure;
2. Policy and regulatory actions to
support widespread deployment;
3. Raising profile with policy-makers and
public - Continuing education (ILC) and
outreach (SC) efforts;
4. Monitor hydrogen, fuel cell and
complementary technology developments.
Private, government and NGO sponsors of
international hydrogen and fuel cell projects
are invited to apply for official recognition
of their projects by the IPHE.
Project sponsors must submit nominations
through their respective IPHE
Implementation-Liaison Committee (ILC)
representative. The contact information for
each member's ILC representative can be found
on the IPHE website at
http://www.iphe.net/ilccommittee.htm.
Project nominations must be received by the
IPHE Secretariat on or before FRIDAY 18 APRIL,
2008 to be considered for recognition in 2008.
